No more summer holidays....

Wail...sob...sob...sniff.. atshchoooooo..sniff
I hate to grow up , to shoulder responsibilities... I dont remember the day/date, the no. of smiles have reduced, I no longer have the chance of smelling the new text books and feeling them after they are neatly covered by dad....
The cycle-rounds, in the jam packed streets of chennai, the pleasure of licking the 5 Rs. icecream from kwality walls till the stick breaks.., the new-bag and other merchandise shopping before school reopens... visit to the book stores, long trips to native places, waiting desperatley for the envelope from school that says"Aishwarya.K roll no. 3 is promoted to--------",inspite of knowing that i would pass off another year... the afternoon naps, the outings with mum & dad ,visit to the poorly maintained vandaloor zoo....the PTC bus trips... Sundal at Marina beach ... hogging it without worrying about the hygiene factor et al.
Now... I am a proud owner of a house, an employee of a good company , i commute in airconditioned cars, visit private beaches but none of these can ever bring me the pleasure that i derived at childhood, wish i am born again and enjoy the smallest of all joys to the best!!

Exactly!! I wonder even now when people talk abt only studying during the school and college days and they claim if scored well, the whole life is there to live.....mayb partly yes....but according to me school days..with all innocence are the best days in any persons life....am not being pessimistic abt the rest of the life, but the fact that I experience and just an observation!!

And yeah....the little things that u had mentioned that drench u in happiness......reminds me of this line...

'chinna chinna anbil thane jeevan innum irukku....'

Cheers for ur nice blog - keep going!
